Such a diverse group from artists to PR professionals, they all had one thing in common and that was 'where do we start looking for our customers'? I try, with every company I work with to break this problem down quite simply by asking 'Who are your fish'?
Imagine your customer base as fish - who are they, what do they look like and where do they swim? Once you have managed to suss that out you then need to look at your boat - your business. Is it up to the job of catching these fish? Getting the catch on board (sales follow up) and very important and often overlooked - How much of your catch did you land? (measurement).
